Eddie Wins the Musto Skiff UK Nationals at Hayling

Big congratulations to Eddie Bridle, who has just won the Noble Marine Musto Skiff UK Nationals at Hayling Island Sailing Club.

The fleet was stacked with talent — over 35 boats, including Sam Barker, Andy Tarboton, Ben Clegg, and more — and the conditions threw everything at the sailors. Day 1 delivered big breeze and waves; Day 2 turned light and tactical with tide playing a huge role; and Day 3 saw racing move inside the harbour for shifty, high-pressure courses.

Eddie didn’t lead from the off, but he stayed consistent, nailed key tactical calls (including a perfect gybe-set on Day 3), and kept his composure while others faltered. After 11 races, he topped the leaderboard ahead of Barker and Tarboton — a brilliant performance in one of the UK’s most competitive skiff fleets
